Abstract
Objective: List the main neonatal and pediatric emergencies in the current literature. Method: Study of integrative literature review, carried out in the databases and health library of the Online Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS). The research was conducted with 12 publications on the topic, these publications were read in full and analyzed in all their aspects to build the results. Results: The urgency most found in the publications was neonatal/pediatric choking, generated by airway obstruction at the time the baby is nursing or eating other foods. Other emergencies were also seen: persistent high fever, seizures, altered heart rate, vomiting in sequence, cardiorespiratory arrest and domestic accidents. Conclusion: It is necessary to study the main neonatal and pediatric emergencies so that one can reflect on the main conducts and procedures that should be performed during care, thus obtaining the theoretical knowledge that is of paramount importance for its practical realization, becoming decisive and that can save lives.
