Abstract

This study focuses on exploring the application of 3D printing in the creative economy, with an emphasis on the development of personalized products as a new source of income. The work is based on the analysis of Joseph, a young entrepreneur who, upon identifying a shortage of high-quality customized products in his city, invests in creating personalized eyeglass frames using a 3D printer. The main objective of the research is to investigate how 3D printing can be used to create a sustainable and profitable business. The methodology adopted includes a review of market trends, development of prototypes and testing of materials, in addition to the application of customization strategies for differentiation in the market. From experimentation with different filaments (such as PLA, ABS and Nylon), the research evaluated factors such as resistance, durability and comfort of printed products. The results indicate that 3D printing allows a high level of customization, reducing costs and production time, while offering products highly adaptable to consumer preferences. The research also highlights the positive impact of personalization on increasing the value perceived by customers. It is concluded that 3D printing represents a viable opportunity for entrepreneurs who wish to operate in the creative economy, especially in the fashion and accessories sector, offering personalized solutions with low initial investment.
