Abstract
The field of Workers’ Health in Brazil has roots in Public Health, influenced by the Latin American Social Medicine movement and significantly shaped by the Italian workers’ experience. Despite the numerous socio-historical and political advances in this field, there is still a lot to improve in terms of health care assistance for workers. This fact was strongly evidenced during the COVID-19 pandemic experienced by the world in the last 3 years and which left strong traces in the lives of frontline health workers.
